In 2022, largely on a whim, journalist Pola del Monte created the @misschiefeditor account for writing-related content and commentaries about language use in media, business, politics and pop culture. Little did she know that real people outside her inner circle—celebrities included—would eat up her content. What ensued was a major life change: speaker invitations, a book deal, a blue verified badge, etc. And just like that, her Carrie Bradshaw dreams came true—except without the Manolo Blahniks and designer clothing.
